How to set custom robots header tags in blogger for better seo

In my previous article I told 'How to create free blog in blogger' and also told 'How to make it professional' but this is not end here. Now time to focus on SEO (search engine optimization). Without seo your all work will be totally wasted. In this topic I will tell about "robot header tags" which is one of the most important part for seo. Let's start.

WHAT IS ROBOT TAGS ?

So now the main question is what is 'Robot tags' ? Robot tags are generally predefined tags who tell to search engine about your website, posts, updates. If you do anything wrong with robot tags then you have to fetch problem for SEO and SERP (Search Engine Result Page) . There are some custom robot reader tags, first see that what they are and what they do?

 1. all -
If you set this then bot will crawl and index everything of your website.

 2. noindex -
Noindex tag prevents search engine from indexing.

 3. nofollow-
Dofollow is the default robot tag for all your outbound links. That means the search engines can sneak upon the pages you linked to. If you don’t want this then set it as nofollow. 

 4. none-
Bot will do nothing of that page.

 5. noarchive-
The noarchive tag turns off cached version of your pages.

 6. nosnippet-
If you want the text without snippet in search engine then use it.

 7. noodp-
There are many open dictionary where to submit your website like Dmoz. Google sometime collect information from them. If you don't want that then use noodp.

 8. notranslate-
Search engine translate webpages as location base. Use can disable it if you don't want to translate it.

 9. noimageindex-
Google automatically index your images. To prevent this use noindeximage.

10. unavailable_after-
Your webpage will not be indexed after selecting unavailable_after.

How to Setup Custom Robots Header Tags

Now time to enable and set custom robot reader tags for better seo. To enable it go to blogger  -> Setting -> Search Preferences -> Edit (custom robot header tags) -> Yes -> Tick boxes as given below -> Save changes.
