What is sitemap.xml?
Sitemap.xml is basically a text file that contain a list of all your web pages and posts. It allows webmasters to include additional information about each URL: when it was last updated, how often it changes, and how important it is in relation to other URLs in the site. This allows search engines to crawl the site more intelligently. Google bot or spider at first read your sitemap's command then crawl website posts, pages then submit your website to search engine. How to submit sitemap.xml to google webmaster tools
